Adult Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu.
For the 40-year-old who always wanted to try. For the lifer who never stopped. For the athlete chasing the next belt. Our adult BJJ program meets you where you are and builds from there.
What you'll actually learn.
Posture, frames, and the escape ladder.
Before submissions, before fancy guards — you learn how to survive. How to protect your neck, how to frame, how to escape every bad position. These are the skills that let you train safely for the next 20 years.
Sweeps, submissions, and transitions.
Closed guard, open guard, half guard — the positions where BJJ gets really interesting. You'll learn how to threaten from the bottom, sweep your way on top, and finish the fight.
Passing, pinning, and pressure.
Getting to a dominant position and staying there is half the battle. You'll drill the passes and pins that work at every level — from white belt to world championships.
Progressive resistance, no ego.
Sparring is where the technique becomes yours. We roll in a controlled, progressive way — you'll go from situational drills to live rounds as soon as you're ready. Never before.
One hour. Three acts.
Move like a jiu-jitero.
15 minutes of BJJ-specific movement — shrimps, rolls, hip escapes. Your body learns the shapes before your brain does.
Learn it. Drill it.
Luiz demonstrates the technique of the day, then you drill it with a partner. Slow reps. Clean reps. The way every great black belt learned.
Apply it — safely.
Situational sparring or live rolls, depending on the class. You'll only roll live when you're ready. Until then, you're still doing real BJJ — just with less chaos.
Adult classes,
six days a week.
Recover.
Built for the person in the mirror.
- The beginner who's been meaning to start for two years.
- The returning student who took a break and wants back in.
- The striker (boxing, MMA, Muay Thai) who wants to round out their grappling.
- The parent who drops the kids off and is ready for their own program.
- The competitor chasing the next belt, the next medal, the next level.
Before you step on the mat.
Yes. Most of our adult students walked in with zero experience. BJJ Basics is designed for day-one beginners. You'll learn the foundations in a structured, safe environment — with partners who remember exactly what day one felt like.
Athletic shorts and a rash guard or t-shirt are fine for your first class. If you decide to stick with it, you'll eventually want a gi — we can point you to good options.
No. BJJ builds the fitness you need as you train. Come as you are. You'll get in better shape by showing up, not by training for months before you show up.
Yes — when it's taught well. Our classes emphasize controlled drilling, progressive resistance, and respect for training partners. We take injury prevention seriously.
Two to three times per week is ideal for beginners. Consistency beats intensity. Showing up regularly is the single biggest predictor of progress.
Reach out and we'll share current rates and any active promotions. Your first class is free, and we won't pressure you to sign anything on day one. We want you to be sure.
