Oakville
Jiu-Jitsu.
Learn to protect yourself and the people you love.
The most battle-tested self-defense system on the planet, taught by instructors who'll meet you exactly where you are.
No prior experience. No dangerous egos. No getting smashed on day one. Just real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — the same art trusted by the military, law enforcement, and anyone serious about being able to handle themselves when it matters most. Your first class is free.
We don't train fighters. We build people who happen to train.
Oakville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a home for anyone who wants more — more confidence, more calm, more capability. Whether you're stepping on a mat for the first time or returning after years away, you'll find a room full of teammates who want you to get better too.
Every class is led by Luiz Ribeiro — a 14-year student of Jorge Britto and Jiu Jitsu for Life. Technique is taught, drilled, and applied. Nobody is left behind. Nobody is rushed. The mat meets you where you are.
Five programs.
One tribe.
Pick your starting line. Everyone begins white. Everyone starts the same day they decide to show up.
A black belt is a white belt who never quits.
Luiz started his martial arts journey at 8 with capoeira, moved to Muay Thai at 17, and found his home in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 21. Fourteen years later, he's still a student of the game — competing in two IBJJF World Championships, earning the podium at the Canadian Nationals, and representing Canada at the World Championship in Mongolia.
Off the mats you'll find him with his dogs and cats, watching soccer, or snowboarding. On the mats, he'll meet you where you are — no matter where you're starting from.
